Start your journey to Shillong, the “Scotland of the East” (approx. 3-4 hours, 100 km). Enroute, enjoy the beautiful landscapes and tea gardens of Assam.

Evening: Take a leisurely walk around Ward’s Lake, or visit Police Bazaar, Shillong’s bustling market area.

Day 2: Shillong – Local Sightseeing
Morning: After breakfast, start your Shillong sightseeing tour.
Umiam Lake: A beautiful artificial lake surrounded by hills, perfect for a boat ride and nature walk.
Don Bosco Museum: Learn about the diverse cultures of Northeast India, showcasing various tribal costumes, artifacts, and historical displays.
Shillong Peak: The highest point in the city offering panoramic views of Shillong and surrounding areas.
Afternoon: Visit Elephant Falls, a picturesque three-tiered waterfall, and Laitlum Canyons, a tranquil spot offering panoramic views of the valleys and hills.

Day 3: Shillong to Cherrapunjee (Sohra) – Dawki – Mawlynnong
Morning: After breakfast, drive towards Cherrapunjee (Sohra) (approx. 2 hours, 55 km), famous for being one of the wettest places on Earth.
Enroute, visit Elephant Falls (if not visited earlier) and Mawsmai Cave, one of the longest caves in the region.
Cherrapunjee Sightseeing: Visit Nohkalikai Falls, one of India’s tallest waterfalls.
Explore the stunning Seven Sisters Falls, located in a picturesque valley.
Spend some time exploring the misty landscapes of Cherrapunjee.
Continue to Dawki: After sightseeing, head towards Dawki (approx. 1.5 hours, 40 km).
Umngot River: Enjoy a boat ride on the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River, where boats appear to float in the air due to the transparency of the water.
Proceed to Mawlynnong: After your visit to Dawki, drive to Mawlynnong Village (approx. 1 hour, 30 km), known as Asia’s cleanest village.
Explore the village and admire its cleanliness, the lush green surroundings, and the hospitality of the locals.
Mawlynnong Village: Visit the Sky Viewpoint, a bamboo structure offering stunning panoramic views of the village and the plains of Bangladesh.
Visit the Living Root Bridge in Riwai Village and take a short trek through the forest to reach the bridge made from the roots of trees.
Evening: After exploring Mawlynnong, return to Shillong (approx. 2.5 hours drive, 90 km).
